Today A1 Bulgaria, subsidiary of A1 Telekom Austria Group, owned by America Movil, has officially launched the first of its kind media channel for video ads – A1 SmartAD. The smartphone application displays ad content tailored to the interests and needs of A1 subscribers. For each download of A1 SmartAD, the telecom operator will donate 1 BGN to the National Foster Care Association, which will support sick and underpriviledged children and help them stay with their families and attend school.
A1 SmartAD is available for download at Google Play Store. Upon installation, it rewards subscribers with 3000 MB additional data at a maximum speed on a monthly basis, in exchange for viewing of limited advertising, educational, social and fun content – no more than one video ad or static content per hour.
The video ads to be displayed on subscribers’ smartphones will be up to 8 seconds long, without any sound, and will not interfere with the normal smartphone functions.
